Uncle George never made it Washington, but he spent many years in the state legislature and eventually became lieutenant governor. And, all three men were staunch conservative Republicans.So, Matt?s sexuality had long been a subject politely swept under the rug.The reason that Donna Jay-Lockwood was piffed was simple. Matt had just published an article detailing their parent?s sexual exploits. It was well known in D.C. that Congressman and Mrs. Jay enjoyed the social scene. In fact, Ron and Betty were often the first to arrive and almost always the last to leave. They drank considerably at parties. Ron would become handsy with women while Betty would retreat to her own corner carrying on intellectual conversations with various power brokers.Matt and his six siblings were aware of the gossip their suburban neighbors would share about their parents.
